What can be done legally for a relative who is in the early stages of Alzheimers? He is losing his home,? has lost his mind, and is a danger to himself…he could go off and forget a pot on the stove…Sometimes he’s all there, and knows he is forgetting things, other times, he doesn’t know who we are..Does SS pay to have someone come in and care for him? He served 4 years in the Military, so I guess that makes him eligible for benefits…I just don’t know where to start…
