Spring Hill

St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 13485 Spring Hill Drive, will provide a soup-and-sandwich lunch free to everyone in need from noon to 2 p.m. June 10 in its parish hall. Call (352) 688-0663.

Forest Oaks Lutheran Church, 8555 Forest Oaks Blvd., is offering a food pantry to the needy from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesdays. Call (352) 683-9731.

First United Methodist Church, 9344 Spring Hill Drive, offers the Respite Room from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays for people with memory challenges, such as dementia or Alzheimer’s disease. The program gives caregivers an opportunity to have some relief from their care giving. Call (352) 683-2600.

Mariner United Methodist Church, 7079 Mariner Blvd., will present gospel singer Jerry Gilmore in concert at 6 p.m. June 5. The concert will include traditional, Southern gospel, contemporary, and praise and worship music. There will be an ice cream social afterward. No charge; an offering will be taken. Northcliffe Baptist Church, 10515 Northcliffe Blvd., will host a tea for mothers and daughters, school age and older, from noon to 2 p.m. June 5. The cost is $1 per person. Spring Hill Bible Church, 15449 Spring Hill Drive, will honor God and country at its 10:30 a.m. service Sunday. There will be patriotic hymns and songs, and veterans will be recognized for their service. Deceased veterans will be remembered with a reading and the playing of taps. At the 6 p.m. service, young men from the church will preach on the attributes of God, including love, mercy, justice and wrath. The youth group will lead the singing and worship. Weeki Wachee

Christian Church in the Wildwood, 10051 Country Road, is collecting beans, rice, oil, peanut butter, clothing and hygiene products for shipment to the church’s missionary contact in Gonaives, Haiti, to be distributed to those in need.
